Sweet CK Bride Annie wanted to find a special way to invite her favorite girls to be in the wedding of her dreams. Together we combined her vision with my design skills to create this beautiful bridesmaids and maid of honor proposal box set.
The Client's Story
Annie contacted me a couple months ago for a custom wedding wood slice portrait of her and her soon-to-be husband, Lane and their dog Gumbo. The way clients often times come to us is by word-of-mouth referrals from previous clients or family friends ( hint hint ) and this was no exception. Annie is a longtime family friend of my best friend's in-laws. She ordered the wood slice for a special Valentine's present to be delivered across the country to her long-distance fiancé in New Orleans. I love hearing stories like this because it continues to show the impact personalized art can have in someone's life. It makes me more motivated to keep doing what I am doing when clients keep entrusting me with special projects like this. After Lane received his piece and loved it, Annie also decided to do Bridesmaids and Maid of Honor Proposal Boxes as a fun and meaningful way to ask the special women in her life to be in her wedding.
The Process
This was a unique project because I had never done a complete Bridesmaids Box before. I had to first use pictures Annie sent me and Pinterest pictures as inspiration before deciding the contents of the box and pricing. Annie and Lane's color scheme for their wedding is Dusty Rose + Cobalt with hints of gold so I wanted to incorporate their colors into these boxes. All the lettering items were done in white + gold with accents of pink in the "Mark the Date" and pink crinkle packaging. I also used gold confetti to make DIY Confetti Poppers. I ordered push-pops in mass quantity that I found on Amazon and used adhesive labels and a gold pen to make them even better than store bought! (for cheap!)

I also partnered with Amanda from Circle Dot Designs who I met at Sanderson's vendor event Holly Days this past December, to create a special Maid of Honor tervis with gold script. This made the perfect extra touch for the Maid of Honor's box.
Final Thoughts
This was such a fun project to work on. I am super grateful Annie entrusted me to create these boxes for her. I would love to do more of these so if you know of anyone who has just gotten engaged send them my way! They would also be great gifts just as a thank you for being in your wedding.
